Electric fans belong to small electronic appliances and must complete WEEE recycling registration in Croatia. The outer box should be labeled with the "Cross Garbage Can" sign. At the same time, if the annual packaging waste exceeds 0.5 tons, EPR packaging law registration must be completed and environmental taxes must be paid - Croatia does not have a minimum turnover threshold, and EPR obligations are triggered from the first packaged product put on the market (first article registration).

3. EORI number and 25% VAT compliance

Importers must hold a valid EU EORI number, without which customs clearance procedures cannot be initiated. The standard value-added tax rate in Croatia is as high as 25%, which is one of the highest levels in the European Union. The tax base is the total amount of landed price plus customs duty.
