Brand bags, jerseys, sea freight export from Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen to Ireland, FCL booking, customs clearance, tax clearance, and door-to-door freight forwarding services
Description: Packaged in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Dongguan, branded bags and jerseys are exported to Ireland, and both FCL and LCL options are available. Direct flights from Shenzhen/Guangzhou to Dublin and Cork take approximately 28-38 days, while door-to-door flights take 35-50 days. One fixed price all inclusive: ocean freight, customs clearance, Irish customs clearance, customs duties, 23% value-added tax, and delivery. The clothing tariff is about 12%. Starting from July 2026, the EU will cancel the 150 euro duty-free policy and impose a fixed tariff of 3 euros per category. Customs clearance requires EORI to bind Irish VAT, prepare invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and brand authorization letters. The label must indicate the fiber composition and "Made in China" in durable English. Brand goods can be detained by customs, and wooden packaging must undergo IPPC heat treatment. Double clearance with tax included, delivery throughout Dublin and Cork.
Ireland is one of the markets within the European Union that implements stricter standards for the import of Chinese textiles. The customs clearance system of Dublin Port automatically verifies the matching degree of EORI code, HS code, product name, and cargo value. If any of them do not match, interception will be triggered. If the goods are ready and the cabin is locked, if EORI is not bound to Irish VAT or the fiber composition labeling method on the label is incorrect, the cabinet will have to be pressed when it arrives in Dublin. We specialize in this line, loading containers in Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen, and using LCL (Less than Container Load) shipping to clear these checkpoints one by one before shipment.
1、 Shenzhen to Ireland sub brand bags and jerseys sea freight prices and delivery time
1. Shenzhen to Ireland sub brand bags and jerseys shipping time
Ireland is a member state of the European Union, and the ports of Dublin and Cork are the main gateways to enter the Irish market. We are rooted in Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen for container loading, and can handle both FCL and LCL shipments. Departing from Yantian in Shenzhen, Nansha in Guangzhou or Dongguan Port, the direct flight to Dublin and Cork takes about 28-38 days. Door to door delivery for the entire container takes about 35-50 days (including customs clearance and delivery), and LCL takes about 40-55 days. Irish Customs processes declarations through AIS (Automated Import System), with a standard clearance time of approximately 1-3 days. During the peak season from June to September, cabin availability may be tight, so booking 3-4 weeks in advance is more relaxed.
2. Shenzhen to Ireland sub brand bags and jerseys sea freight prices
The quoted price includes all costs, including sea freight, domestic trailer customs clearance, Irish customs clearance, customs duties, 23% value-added tax (VAT), and final delivery. It should be calculated clearly before signing the contract and no additional charges will be incurred thereafter.
3. Shenzhen to Ireland sub brand bags, jerseys, sea freight taxes and fees
There are two points in Irish taxes that directly affect costs. In terms of tariffs, the tariff rate for clothing and textiles (HS Chapters 61-62) is 12%, applicable to knitted clothing and woven shirts, calculated based on CIF value (value of goods+freight+insurance). Shoes range from 8% to 17%. The standard VAT rate is 23%, calculated as (CIF price+customs duty) x 23%. Starting from July 1, 2026, the European Union officially cancels the tariff exemption for imported packages below 150 euros and instead imposes a fixed tariff of 3 euros per product category. The Irish Taxation Office has a clear example of this: a package contains a silk shirt and a cotton T-shirt, belonging to two different tariff categories, with a tariff of 6 euros; If there are 3 identical products in the same category, only 3 euros will be charged. All commercial goods entering from non EU countries, regardless of their value, are subject to customs duties and a 23% VAT.
2、 Shenzhen to Ireland sub brand bags, jerseys, sea freight customs clearance documents and processes: four checkpoints, none of which can be relaxed
First level: EORI number and Irish VAT - hard threshold for customs clearance
Irish Customs requires all importers to hold a valid EORI number in the format of "IE"+VAT number. EORI applications must be submitted through Revenue Online Services (ROS), and Eircode (postal code) is a mandatory field. Missing or incorrect information will result in the declaration being rejected. When using DDP double clearance tax service, the freight forwarder acts as the importer to complete EORI and VAT related administrative work. EORI information must be confirmed in place before shipment.
Second level: Commercial invoice - the core basis for AIS declaration
Irish Customs requires the submission of commercial invoices, which must include: the names and addresses of both parties, invoice number and date, detailed description of the goods (including HS code), quantity, unit price and total price, transaction terms (such as CIF), and country of origin. For imported textiles, the model, width, and weight of the fabric must be specifically stated in the invoice. Commercial invoices should avoid vague descriptions and should be specifically labeled as "100% pure cotton women's T-shirt". The certificate of origin (if applicable) must be completely consistent with the commercial invoice information.
Level 3: English Tags - Implementation of Regulation 1007/2011 in Ireland
Ireland implements EU Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 through domestic law. The label must be durable, clear and readable, visible and accessible, indicating the fiber composition and percentage, using the standard fiber names specified by EU regulations, and arranged in descending order of weight. The label language can be in English or Irish, and for exporters, English labels are sufficient to meet the requirements. The label must indicate the name and address of the manufacturer/importer, as well as the country of origin "Made in China".
Fourth level: Brand authorization - Irish customs can proactively detain infringing goods
According to EU Regulation (EU) 608/2013, Irish Customs has the authority to proactively detain goods suspected of infringement. Customs may detain suspected infringing goods for 3 working days during inspection, waiting for the right holder to submit an action request (AFA). AFA is valid for a maximum of 12 months after approval. After the detention notice is issued, the declarant or cargo holder may raise objections or agree to destroy within 10 working days; The rights holder also has 10 working days to respond on whether there is infringement. Brand bags and brand jerseys must be accompanied by a brand authorization letter, which must specify the authorizing party, authorized party, product scope, and validity period. Unauthorized goods are at risk of destruction after being seized.
Fifth level: Customs clearance process at the destination port (our Irish cooperative customs clearance agency handles the entire process):
1. EORI/VAT confirmation (before shipment): Confirm that the importer EORI is bound to Irish VAT and Eircode is complete. In DDP mode, the freight forwarder acts as IOR to complete the registration
2. Pre review of documents (during transportation): Submit the complete set of customs clearance documents to the agent for early review, complete English compliance verification of label content, and complete special information for textile invoices
3. AIS electronic declaration (before arrival): To submit an import declaration through the AIS system, an EORI number must be provided
4. Customs valuation and inspection: With complete documentation, customs clearance is usually completed within 1-3 working days; In case of inspection, reserve 3-5 days
5. Tax payment release: payment of customs duties on behalf of others+23% value-added tax, compliant release
6. End delivery: Delivery throughout Dublin, Cork, and Limerick
Sixth level: List of customs clearance documents
Customs clearance document list: original/electronic bill of lading, commercial invoice (including textile fabric model/width/weight), packing list, brand authorization letter, importer EORI and Irish VAT number, certificate of origin (if applicable), fumigation certificate for wooden packaging (if applicable).
3、 Shipping bags and jerseys from Shenzhen to Ireland by sea with six red lines, even touching one would be troublesome
1. EORI is not bound to Irish VAT or Eircode is missing - customs clearance is directly stuck
Irish Customs requires EORI numbers to be bound to Irish VAT, and Eircode is a mandatory registration field. Missing or incorrect Eircode will result in the declaration being directly rejected by the system.
2. Non compliant labeling language or ingredient labeling - key focus of compliance review
The label can be in English, and the fiber composition must use standard fiber names arranged in descending order of weight. The label must be durable and sturdy. Non compliant labels will trigger compliance review by the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
3. Missing brand authorization letter - Customs actively seized goods
The Irish Customs has the right to detain suspected infringing goods on their own initiative and hold them for 3 working days until the right holder submits an AFA. The authorization letter for brand bags and jerseys must be complete and the scope of authorization must be clear.
4. Special information missing in textile invoices - common reasons for inspection
Irish customs require textile invoices to indicate the fabric model, width, and weight, and any omissions can directly trigger inspection.
5. New tariff policy in July 2026- cancellation of small exemptions
Starting from July 1, 2026, the tariff exemption for packages below 150 euros will be officially cancelled and replaced with a fixed tariff of 3 euros per product category. Goods of different categories in the same package are taxed separately. Even if the value of a single item is very low, as long as it enters the EU customs territory, tariffs and 23% VAT must be paid.
6. Wooden packaging without IPPC logo - Ireland implements strict standards
Ireland implements the ISPM 15 standard, which requires solid wood pallets and wooden boxes to undergo heat treatment (HT) or fumigation and be labeled with IPPC (including country code, processing company number, and processing method code). Ireland, as a protected zone, has additional restrictions on wooden packaging from specific tree species, and the wood must be peeled. It is recommended to prioritize using plywood fumigation free pallets or plastic pallets.
4、 Shenzhen to Ireland sub brand bags and jerseys sea freight packaging requirements: three-layer protection, according to brand standards
1. Three layer protection: Brand bags and jerseys are of high value, and after drifting at sea for more than 30 days and being transported inland in Europe, the packaging can withstand it.
|First layer: Inner packaging | football jersey cover with dust-proof bag folded up; Put the brand dust bag in the bag, with paper balls stuffed inside to support the shape of the bag. Don't damage the hang tag washing label|
|The second layer: filling and fixing | the box is filled with enough cushioning materials (foam, bubble film, pearl cotton), and the goods cannot be shaken in the box|
|Third layer: outer box reinforcement | cardboard box, do not use soft packaging. Single box should not exceed 30kg, and single side should not exceed 150cm. The box should be sealed with a "worker" shape and the tape should be ≥ 5cm
2. Wooden packaging: Solid wood must be treated with ISPM 15, marked with IPPC, and the wood must be peeled. Ireland implements protected area standards for wooden packaging and has strict inspections. Suggest using plywood fumigation free trays or plastic trays directly to save time and money.
3. Special requirements for Irish/EU labeling:
-Label fiber composition in English, use standard fiber names, and arrange them in descending order by weight
-Origin landmark "Made in China"
-Manufacturer/Importer Name and Address
-Outer box label, specific product name written
-Fragile items are labeled with "FRAGILE", and desiccants are placed inside the box to prevent moisture
The export to Ireland by sea is not about who has the lowest price, but who puts compliance at the forefront. EORI binds VAT, complete Eircode, special information for textile invoices, English 1007/2011 labels, brand authorization checks, and wooden pallet ISPM 15 processing. We will go through these items one by one before loading the container, and do not let the goods return to Dublin for replenishment. We follow the container loading process from Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen, including sea freight, customs clearance, tax payment, and delivery. You hand over the goods to the domestic warehouse, and we will cover the rest of the way for you.
